Join us for the largest formerly incarcerated day of action!

May 2-4, 2026
CA State Capitol, Sacramento

14th Annual Quest for Democracy

This day of advocacy brings hundreds to the California State Capitol to build solidarity, engage in democracy, and show our collective power. We invite you—whether you are formerly incarcerated, system-impacted, a loved one, or an ally—to join us in assembling the largest formerly incarcerated day of action in the country.

What it means to Partner or Sponsor Q4D

Partners help expand our power base, bring people to the Capitol, and march alongside us.

Sponsors help cover the overall costs to carry out Q4D, leveraging their brand visibility to uplift our work.

What is Quest for Democracy, and why do we do it?

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) and All of Us or None (AOUON) are excited to present 2026 Quest for Democracy: Together, We Decide. This is the largest day of action led by formerly incarcerated and convicted people and their families across the country!

This year, we are transforming Quest for Democracy (Q4D) from a single day of advocacy into a three-day conference and legislative advocacy day, taking place May 2-4, 2026, in Sacramento. The conference will feature legislative advocacy 101 sessions, skill-building workshops, know-your-rights trainings, and many other opportunities to strengthen your leadership and build out the movement.

Together, We Decide is about centering collective power. Quest for Democracy brings together organizers, legal advocates, families, and—most importantly—directly impacted leaders to shape the path forward for systemic change.
