We’re hiring! Join the LSPC team as Supervising Attorney. Find more information below!
Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) is a nonprofit legal organization that has been fighting for the human rights and liberation of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people for nearly 50 years. We build community power through legal advocacy, policy advocacy, community organizing, and leadership development. Our work is grounded in an abolitionist framework and a commitment to racial and gender justice.
The Supervising Attorney, reporting to our Advocacy Director, will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for our legal support center functions in service of formerly incarcerated, incarcerated, and convicted people and their families. They will supervise attorneys and fellows, ensure high-quality legal support services statewide, and help shape the organization’s legal strategy and priorities.
LSPC is excited to be accepting applications for interns and volunteers. This role is primarily dedicated to supporting LSPC’s Prison Letter Project (PLP). LSPC receives hundreds of letters annually, sent from incarcerated individuals in prisons, jails, and ICE detention facilities throughout the United States. Through the PLP, we build community, stay in touch with incarcerated All of Us or None members, track issues ripe for systemic change, and invite people to join our organizing and advocacy work. This internship will begin on January 26th and end on May 8th, 2026.
