Tuesday May 4th
10 am to 2 pm (PT)
We invite you to join us at #DQ4D2021, where hundreds of formerly incarcerated and convicted people, family members, and allies will convene online for community, advocacy training, and legislative visits.
This year, Digital Quest for Democracy will take place on May 4th, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Quest for Democracy Advocacy Day helps incarcerated people speak truth to power, regain our dignity, and make California a better, safer place for all. We will be meeting with CA legislators virtually to advocate for a platform of bills to improve access to employment, housing, and education, & to restore our civil and human rights.
All formerly incarcerated & convicted people, family members, and allies are welcome. Afterwards, we will coordinate follow-up and relationship-building between participants and legislators/staff.
We will be hosting Digital Quest for Democracy on Whova, a free app that, once downloaded to your device or computer, will have the agenda and access to all the meetings at your fingertips. We are happy to assist anyone in downloading the app or creating a Whova account. If you're not able to access the Whova app, then a Zoom account can be used to attend individual sessions.
