Poem: Evaluate Me by Anthony Rakim Jones

Bring to my awareness the historic scientific studies of the
human body, soul, and mental
so that I may incur knowledge, truth, and insight beyond the
misconceptions, Ignorance or false masculinity
which only an irrational mind can see
For this rating will supply the data both beneficial
OR possibly detrimental
Evaluate me
Arouse my conscience to the subjects of self-awareness,
perception personification, biological blueprints, conflict
resolving, rightous percepts, healthy habits, and every formula
mentioned to enrich the spirit
For I’ve sought aid, so that what’s conducive to my
developing may be conveyed which to my discernment is a
vital key. Please let me hear it.
Evaluate me
Expose the boy who conceives his actions are infallible
so that I can welcome the man.
Daily I war to be the best I can be
but how can I uncover my purpose if I’m never enlightened
on the Master’s plan
Evaluate me
Because sometimes life can seem so abstruse
remaining standoffish will not represent the concept.
It’s time to tear down barriers, elevate, put away this
nonsensical visage and keep our triggers from roaming
loose.
